1. Power Play
Many designers on the A/W 2018 catwalk based their collections around the empowerment of women, so it’s no surprise that power lips were such a massive trend. Alexander McQueen made the look even bolder by paring back the rest of the makeup, making red lips the forefront of the look.
2. Coming Up Roses
Soft, flushed complexions also made their appearances on the catwalk. Rosy pink blush adorned the cheeks of models along with baby pink blotted lips – think a face that’s just been kissed on a cold winter’s morning. This subtle, romantic look will be making waves this autumn.
3. Line Them Up
Another powerful look – AW18 is going back to black. Punky liner was all over the catwalks, inspired by the youth revolts of 1968 and the post-punk era in Eighties London. These dramatic liner looks could be seen at Ashley Williams, Dior, and Chloe, while Carven and Gucci sported contemporary deconstructed liner.
4. Flutter Like Twiggy
If liner isn’t quite your thing, dramatic lashes are also going to be massive this season. The classic Sixties eye was seen at Moschino and Anna Sui, whilst Dries Van Noten showcased pigmented, colourful lashes.
