With every year the beauty world offers eccentric new styles and crazes that capture everyone’s attention. Some of these trends have taken off and are still present today such as: contouring, faded brows and brighter hair and makeup looks, whereas other looks have died out. This year we have seen some eccentric new looks being displayed and here are our favourite crazy beauty trends of 2018 (so far).
So far, in 2018, we have seen various new brow looks being created by many different make up bloggers. From ‘crown brows’ to ‘fishtail brows’ everyone is experimenting with new brow designs that shock and impress. Personally, I cannot see any of these looks truly taking off, we all appreciate the creative ideas and impeccable techniques used by these MUA’s to create these looks however, who really has time to fishtail your brows before work on a Monday morning?
Huda Beauty (MUA & beauty blogger) shocked her followers by creating this edgy brow look. Fishtail brows consist of concealing a part of your eyebrow (to create a gap between the arch and the tail of your brow) and then creating an angled ‘tail’ in a different direction. Some followers loved this look and were inspired by the creativity behind a fishtail brow however, other followers found the look to be too crazy for their liking. What do you think of this look?
Crown brows fit for a queen. Sofie Petersen (Instagram MUA) created a look that is bold and definitely memorable. What do you think of crown brows?
If you thought that ‘crown brows’ and ‘fishtail brows’ were crazy enough then take a look at halo brows. Halo brows were created by make up enthusiast Hannah Lyne, who is only 16 years old! Although this look is not everyone’s cup of tea I’m sure that we can all agree that a lot of talent and creativity was put into this look.
Kylie Jenner and her Stormi nails:
Now this wouldn’t be a beauty blog without mentioning the Kardashian / Jenner clan. Kylie Jenner has always been a popular beauty infuser and has kick started various beauty trends that took social media by storm. Although this look wasn’t personally created by Kylie, she was the inspiration behind the design. Moscow nail salon (Nail Sunny) created the manicure fuelling nightmares across the globe. The design was a recreation of a picture of Stormi’s hand posted by Kylie.
Ombre lashes was first seen on Fruzans_beeuaty Instagram but has since gained popularity. This lash look is easy to recreate and can be used on natural lashes as well as false lashes. This is one of the looks on our crazy trends list that we are fond of. This look would be perfect for festivals to add a touch of colour to your make up look.
We are only halfway through 2018 so keep an eye out for more crazy beauty trends and why not try recreating some of these looks?
